It was august 2004 Patty joined LIB. Jan followed 2 months later. A nice forum where, mainly girls, could debate, discuss, speak about the Beatles. Who’s your favourite? What’s your favourite song? What did Yoko do this time? And do you remember when George passed away? Etc etc. Everything was possible.
Over the years LIB has changed a lot. We’ve had a few major changes and since then LIB sadly hasn’t been as “big” as before. Some of you might say that’s a good thing. It means this is a close group of people and we kind of know what to expect from each other.
We took over de adminship of LIB when it was abandoned and tried our best to make something out of it. Of course with the help of Tegan, who has been a great substitute in times we were busy elsewhere. Jan is now the proud mother of a beautiful little girl and Patty is married to a wonderful English husband. Both events have been life changing for us and we both feel we need more time to enjoy those.
Now, almost 6 years since we started, it is time to end it. Well, don’t worry, not completely, but we are stepping down. LIB is in need of a new admin. Someone who is able to give back LIB it’s shine and active vibe.
Is there anyone of you who would like to do it? Tegan dear, we’re not trying to pass you by, we just want to give everyone a chance.
We have thought of shutting down LIB completely, but that wouldn’t be fair. PLUS: we still will be around on LIB, posting when we can. We don’t want to miss you ladies.
We would really like to thank you for being so dedicated, being kind, loving the Beatles, well simply being YOU!
So there it is, the word is out. Don’t be shy ladies. You can do it!
