Well, Patty and I have been discussing the Karma system, and the possibility of disabling it came up. It's a very small part of the "LIB Experience" (wow. Possible tribute band name?), and of course it can cause some people a bit of hurt if someone smites them. I'm all for disabling it, but of course Patty needs to see what other people think before she does anything with it. So, answer this question: Should we disable the Karma system? This poll will be open for one week, until the 20th of December - so vote now!

I think it should be disabled, it's kind of fun sometimes, but at the same time, it's really not needed. I feel like it's some sort of competition when it shouldn't be. This is a forum for all of us to get together and discuss our common interest - The Beatles - not worry about the level of our karma. For the fairness of our members, new and old, I think it should be disabled. That's my opinion.

oh no i didnt mean for it to get disabled : ( i always liked seeing myself go up. like today i got a karma bump and i was like yihoooo!
if you guys make it go away...if i ever say something witty/funny/clever that deserves an exalting, you better tell me XD<3

I say we should do away with et, mostly because we've got the star system, so there's no real need for the instant karma. ^__^

Thank you, ladies.  I, for one, don't mind the karma.....I've kind of forgotten about it, actually, until recently. But, I DO want fairness and kindness on the board. Yes, we have our days where we're not 100% and whatnot, but I want us to be a group of friends, NOT just a place to mindlessly chit chat. Jan and I have become great friends from LIB, and that's the type of experience I want everyone else to have. *hugs a tree*  And remember, if you have any other suggestions about the board, let me know! I'm takin' care of things while Jan is out. |

Well, ladies and gents...
...the poll closes tomorrow, and it's a PRETTY unanimous vote...so I think since I'm working this weekend and being all busy, I'm just going to do away with Karma tonight before I head to bed.
IF at any point you all think we're able to bring it back, do let me know....buuutt....since you voted to get rid of it, then get rid of it I shall.
