Lately, I've noticed a few too-big signature banners, and it occurred to me that maybe this is because we have no real signature guidelines. Therefore, I'm going to give you guys some. They are the largest measurements allowed, although smaller is obviously better. No combination of image and text that makes your signature taller than the limit shall be allowed. Mid-March add-on: Try to avoid putting not-so-nice language in your signature. It's a bit rude and may be offensive to others. There are forums that freely allow the use of such language. This isn't really one of them. I think putting expletives in your signature is excessive swearing, seeing as a signature is attached to every post you've made on this board. Maximum Width: 500 pixels Maximum Height: Now 200 pixels - please take note. Here's what a banner of the maximum width and height looks like: Mods, does this seem like a reasonable size limit?

Yeah, that size or even smaller will have to do. Because the bigger the banner, the longer a page takes to load AND it takes away from the post content, I think.
So please, if you have a banner larger than this, size it down. Thanks!

Well, I've been PMing people I see with bigger signatures than this asking them to size down for a few weeks now, I think.

Some stuff has been changed and added. Maximum signature size is now a little smaller - if yours is taller than 200px, please downsize it a little.
