AVATAR FAQ

You can preview all the avatars we have by going to your profile, then modify profile and just click: "avatar". All of the avatars from the site can be selected here. The avatars are sized 100x100.
You may also use your own avatars that you made or that you found elsewhere on the internet. To do so, click none on "avatar". Then go to "avatar url", enter the URL of the picture in the field next to the checkbox. (If you need somewhere to host your avatar, you can consider sites like photobucket.com or tinypic.com). After you've done that, you need to enter your avatar's width and height into the "avatar width" and "avatar height" fields otherwise it probably won't look right.
If you're not sure what size your picture is, enter the URL into your address bar and hit return. Once the picture is loaded, right click it and scroll down to properties to display information about the picture. Look at where it says "Dimensions". The first number is your avatar's width; the second is its height. Avatars can't be bigger then 100 x 100.
If u have an idea for an avatar, but you can't make it yourself. Don't hesitate to ask other members here
Every now and then we have an avatar competition (themed and non-themed) in which you can enter an avatar made by yourself. The one that wins will be put in the LIB selection, so everyone, also new members, are able to pick YOUR avatar for their profile.
